DPS Ltd. are proud to announce the release of Tapewise version 2.60.62. This release fixes a few minor issues and adds support for the STK (Sun) T10000b drive and also the IBM TS1130 (3592306). We would also like to announce our new sister product "Tools'4'Tape", asimplified cost effective version of Tapewise aimed at the smaller SME side of business. With thanks to Fujifilm GmBH we have now had some time to work with an LTO-5 drive (IBM only at present). This is also the first SAS drive we have had (Although we have heard other customers have them working) and it's nice to see it integrating without any further modification. Our current test platform is running Windows 7 Ultimate - 64-bit with 4GB ram, using a DELL SAS 5/E controller. The throughput of this dive was exactly as claimed, 140MB/s. An update will be out soon to incorporate the new drive.

 We have now added support for the latest IBM 3592 E05 (TS1220) drive. This is capable of writing in the older J1A mode or the new E05 mode, and as usual in Tapewise you can select what mode to write in, and secondly the scaling to use (full tape 300/500GB Native or 35% 60/100GB Uncompressed). This will be in the next release due soon after we make a few minor changes/improvements to the SPTI core again. |

Today we are pleased to release version 2.52.59 of Tapewise. The release adds the ability to lookup volumes in the Tapewwwise engine, and automation reports for the ACSLS automation system, as well as numerious improvements and minor fixes. |
